Home In My Heart

Outside of me,
who should I be?
Unable to see
how to be free.

Chasing validation,
craving sensation.
Never satisfied,
emptiness inside.

A mask to disguise,
afraid to be seen.
A shield to protect,
okay to be mean.

Take down the wall
to feel the pain.
Being with myself,
the world is to gain.

Looking inside
for my guide.
Knowing the way
of joy and play.

Bringing little Billy
back from the dark.
Welcoming the boy
home in my heart.
